April 25, 2015.
I was able to head over to two beloved spaces with some good friends over the weekend. I’m really grateful for this crew and their willingness to part with our City of Angels and explore the rest of our homestate. California has so much to offer, and I was gateful to escape the noise and sit above the ruins of a mansion built in 1918 with my eyes fixed on a great expanse of moutain tops and valleys…
God’s ways are not our ways; I must keep this truth close to my heart. His plans are far greater than one can fathom. Everything He does is intentional, and the only way I will know His will is by following His ways. The only way I can know His ways is to commune with the Lord and be.
Sitting perched amonst the ruins, as Spring-time wings push past. Basking in the silence of this moutain top, I can see my God alive and moving. His vision is revealed in getting still… I am watching and waiting. In the stillness, I can see how our lives are filled with hills and valleys, and in turn, I realize that there is more transformation to take place, there are more battles to be won, there is a revival that is taking place in the world and we’re on our way. I hear my faithful Father whisper a verse that shook my soul this past Monday, ” Arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Isreal. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I have promised to Moses….
Only be strong and courageous.” – Joshua 1:2-3
